What you will Learn:

Visitor Attraction

  • Your church has unique strengths...resources...leadership...personality.  And growing churches build on their strengths.  You will learn how to clarify your church's unique identity, define it, and clearly present it to the people in your community.
  • Churches need approximately 4-5% of their average weekend attendance as visitors in order to grow.  You will learn which people in your community are most likely to visit, how to identify them, and how to present an attractive invitation to which they will respond.

Visitor Retention

  • The first impressions visitors receive are critical to whether or not they return.  You will discover what impresses--or depresses--visitors.  You will learn why some visitors return, while others don't...and what you can do to significantly increase your visitor-return rate.
  • Churches need to keep approximately 20% of their first-time visitors in order to grow.  You will learn how some churches are averaging over 40% visitor retention, and how you can easily increase your return rate by identifying, following up, and connection with these potential new members.

Newcomer Integration

  • New members who become active members have moved from spectators to participants.  But they won't do it automatically.  You will learn the characteristics of an assimilated member, and how to build these characteristics into your newcomers early on in the process.
  • The first year in your newcomer's life in the church is critical.  Because 80% of all church drop outs leave in their first year, you will discover the keys to helping newcomers make it past those first critical 12 months.
